Jerry Balzano - Instructor/Head-Coach for the course. Although this is nominally a course in the "Computer Music" area at UCSD, I am pleased to note that all four "divisions" (!) within the Music Department are represented by at least one student: Performance, Composition, CSEP (Critical Studies & Experimental Practices), and, of course, Computer Music. I hope everyone will feel free to "scribble" liberally in this space, create new pages, and contribute to the pages created by others. "There are no wrong answers." (And no, I am not a relativist.)

David Medine - Foliage is nice. Fall is the best season in New England, for sure. Oh yeah, I'm a violist. Also, permit me to say that although I feel for the people that have had to evacuate their homes to flee the flames, I live in Hillcrest which is virtually unaffected by the smoke and I'm really glad to have this little vacation from school. So why am I spending my providential free-time on a Wiki for a seminar that I'm in?
Ian Power - Do we have to get a username or something? I'm a composer, although I haven't proved that to anyone in San Diego just yet. Soon, I promise.
Matt McGarvey- We must destroy syntax by placing nouns at random as they are born. We must use the verb in the infinitive. We must abolish the adjective. We must abolish the adverb. Every noun should have its double. No more punctuation. Analogies here have become increasingly vast. There are no categories of images. Maximum of disorder. Lyrical obsession with matter. Sound. Batya MacAdam-Somer- hello there. i have a hard time getting involved in these social web things. it's pretty unjustified, seeing as i've already gotten something out of reading this one. but i just don't trust the internet- i find it misleading. and i guess i'm kind of old fashioned, too. for example: i don't want to join netflix, i like going to the video store! so there. i would like to contribute something more positive but must catch the bus to catch the shuttle to get to school by 2 PM- but i'll be back!.......well here i am. danny i completely agree with you about the seasons out here- they've got a very different flavor but they do exist.
Danny Shapira - I have also lived on the east coast and do love the changing colors of the trees, but I feel that Southern California's subtle change of desert sand from a dark Winter brown to a lighter bone dry brown is often overlooked! It has recently inspired me to tune up my sitar and play a spacious Autumn raga.
